By the time of his death in 1969, German photographer Erwin Blumenfeld had photographed over a dozen Vogue covers. Short of becoming a household name, Blumenfeld is now remembered as one of the most stylish photographers of all time, owing in no small part to his training as an artist. While his earlier work was strongly influenced by the Dadaist movement, his later work assumed a more structured, fashion-driven tone. Here, we remember the photographer through a visual portfolio of his most iconic work.
