French art director Madani Bendjellal plays with our perception of familiar movies by stripping iconic movie posters of all identifiable features: the result are affecting, soothing images that play along a different kind of soundtrack. The images are also an exercise in minimalist presentation: once key credits and key imagery is removed, what remains are blurred genre boundaries and a strangely comforting visual reductionism.
