The fourth instalment of POSTSCRIPT, the performance art series hosted at MoMA PS1’s Printshop, is taking place this weekend. Described as “a performance series that explores the confluence of music, poetry and fashion”, POSTSCRIPT has in the past featured such artists as Timeghost, Boy Harsher, Gene Pick, Peter Seligman, Nick Klein, Dark Sister, Negation and I Lewis, and has expanded considerably, both in size and popularity, since its inception.
This fourth instalment, with an extended lineup, promises to be bigger and more fun/wackier than ever before.
Hosted by Bernard Herman, the event features performances by corporate-aesthetics meets face-tattoos culture jammer Sofia Reta, genre-bending dance duo FlucT, James K. (PET), “Global-Electro-SuperCorn-with 90’s Fetish” musician Niko Solorio (who performs under the name POCKET NIKO and + TAX), and M. Lamar, a musician inspired by “blackness” ranging from African-American spirituals to black metal.
