Terrence Malick to Produce Lil Peep Documentary

The experimental auteur will produce movie about late rapper's life

Terrence Malick, veteran director of such arthouse staples as Days of HeavenThe Tree of Life, and Knight of Cups, is reported to be in talks to produce an upcoming documentary about the life of late rapper Lil Peep. Malick’s involvement, though seemingly unusual, stems from his reported friendship with the late rapper’s family. And with no report of Malick actually directing the movie, his affecting experimentalism might or might not trickle down to the eventual film.

In other news, Come Over When You’re Sober Pt. 2, Peep’s first posthumous work, the release of which is being handled by his friends Makonnen and Smokeasac as well as his mother, Liza Womack, is set to be released soon, though no date has been set yet.
