Since debuting in 2012, Frieze New York has grown into a veritable street-cred alternative to Art Basel Miami Beach, which has become a bit like the populist, less-cool big brother.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the selections of some of the must-not-miss shows and exhibits from the upcoming fair.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Aesthetics\u2019 of \u2018Female\u2019 \u2018Attractiveness\u2019<\/strong><br \/>\nArtist: Casey Jane Ellison<br \/>\n<em>Friday, May 15, 12pm<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Comedian and artist Casey Jane Ellison will lead a talk-show-style panel on the \u2018Aesthetics\u2019 of \u2018Female\u2019 \u2018Attractiveness\u2019 with Grace Dunham (writer and activist), Reina Gossett (activist, writer, artist), Karley Sciortino (writer), and Leilah Weinraub (artist and filmmaker).<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3465\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/notofu.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/8997e10d645820dca2b9440e02a9d2011eabb3d7.jpg?resize=498%2C334\" alt=\"8997e10d645820dca2b9440e02a9d2011eabb3d7\" width=\"498\" height=\"334\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pia Camil&#8217;s Ponchos<\/strong><br \/>\nArtist: Pia Camil<br \/>\n<em>Throughout exhibition<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Artist Pia Camil will be distributing ponchos &#8211; dubbed as &#8220;habitable paintings&#8221; &#8211; to wear and keep during the fair.
