Praised for his classic garments\u00a0restructured into opulently\u00a0draped avant-garde\u00a0pieces, the young designer (he is yet to graduate from Stockholm\u2019s Beckman College of Design) has steadily been making waves on the international fashion circuit.<\/p>\n<p>This month, he unveiled his ambitious new collection, called \u201cTailings.\u201d Following on from his previous collection, the futuristic \u201cThe Reflecting Skin,\u201d \u201cTailings\u201d is an \u2018earthier\u2019, more organic collection. Guggenberger uses leather, felted wool, mohair and waxed canvas to create oversized, deconstructed garments with dramatic draping.<\/p>\n<p>The word tailings itself refers to the byproduct left behind after extracting precious stones and minerals from a mine.
