Praised for his classic garments\u00a0restructured into opulently\u00a0draped avant-garde\u00a0pieces, the young designer (he is yet to graduate from Stockholm&#8217;s Beckman College of Design) has steadily been making waves on the international fashion circuit.<\/p>\n<p>This month, he unveiled his ambitious new collection, called &#8220;Tailings.&#8221; Following on from his previous collection, the futuristic &#8220;The Reflecting Skin,&#8221; &#8220;Tailings&#8221; is an &#8216;earthier&#8217;, more organic collection. Guggenberger uses leather, felted wool, mohair and waxed canvas to create oversized, deconstructed garments with dramatic draping.<\/p>\n<p>The word tailings itself refers to the byproduct left behind after extracting precious stones and minerals from a mine.
