Starting with a simple Google search for &#8220;How to Make a Home,&#8221; she stumbled upon a forum which was full of advice on how the perfect home should be composed. After collecting all the tips, Jan rented a house and followed all the instructions given to her.<\/p>\n<p>The result is a house with a &#8220;forced personality&#8221; that McCullogh calls &#8220;neither homely nor inviting,&#8221; but fascinating noetheless. Bare, scattered, structureless &#8211; the end result is a house that&#8217;s not so much a home as it is amalgam of incoherent ideas.<\/p>\n<p>The photos are on display at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.belfastexposed.org\/exhibition\/Home_Instruction_Manual\" target=\"_blank\">Belfast Exposed Futures<\/a> through August 22nd.
