I\u2019m incessantly drawing so\u00a0my drawings are a reflection of the world around me\u00a0filtered through my hand.<\/p>\n<p><em>Is there a long thought process behind each illustration or do they move quickly?<\/em><br \/>\nBoth. Some thoughts ruminate for months to years waiting for a visual solution whereas\u00a0most just flow out while sketching. I tend to draw fast and ask questions later\u2014there is a\u00a0sense of freedom when putting pen to paper.<\/p>\n<p><em>Some of work incorporates color, though not all. Is coloring in a rational choice or is it purely dependent\u00a0<\/em><em>on artwork?<\/em><br \/>\nBlack and White can be a hell of a statement. Color is incidental to my work and primarily\u00a0plays a supporting role to my stories.<\/p>\n<p><em>What gets you up in the morning?<\/em><br \/>\nTwo alarms, three snoozes, coffee and the possibility of drawing something worthwhile.<\/p>\n<p><em>Any projects coming up that you would like so share\/plug?<\/em><br \/>\nThe Dallas art scene has a really supportive community. I frequently work in Dallas with a<br \/>\nprolific graffiti group called Sour Grapes. A few times a year we open the studio so people<br \/>\ncan come check out our latest work. The Sour Grapes studio has been going strong for 16<br \/>\nyears, so this year we\u2019re throwing the studio a Sweet 16.
