Though her name might be a translation of the Swiss city of Geneva, Ginevra is all-Italian. Hailing from Turin, in Italy’s Northwest, Ginevra is one of the latest signees to Factory Flaws<\/a>, one of Italy’s most well-established indie labels.<\/p>\n

Her first single for the label, the moody ‘Forest,’ is a delicate, exquisitely-produced introduction to her music.\u00a0The exploratory song offers a glimpse into Ginevra’s world:\u00a0introspective, brooding and affecting.<\/p>\n

‘Forest’ is also the first single from her debut EP, Rituals<\/em>. On ‘Forest,’ Ginevra’s longing vocals give way to dissipating synths, a hushed\u00a0reverb humming along. It’s a meditative piece, a dimly-lit, poetic number that’s as immersive as it is mysterious.<\/p>\n

And that’s perhaps Ginevra’s biggest strength: to give herself away just enough to leave one wondering why there isn’t more.<\/p>\n
